Why do I have to uninstall my old antivirus to install Norton AntiVirus from Rogers Yahoo!?

If you are running any antivirus software other than Norton AntiVirus™ from Rogers Yahoo! you must uninstall it before installing Norton AntiVirus. If you have two or more antivirus programs running on the same computer, they may conflict and cause:

• False Alarms: When the anti virus software tells you that your PC has a virus when it actually doesn't.
• System Performance Problems: Your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
