How do I exclude files from being scanned real time? |
To access the exclusion list, open the Norton AntiVirus™ application from the Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection Dashboard, click Options, then Exclusions under the Other and Security Risks headings in the area on the left.
WARNING: If you do not have a specific use for the Security Risk Exclusion List, then do not experiment. Excluding files and folders from being scanned can lead to virus infection.
In certain circumstances, large or particular problematic files and folders can lead to delays or conflicts when being scanned by antivirus software. The exclusion list can be used if you wish to exclude certain files or folders from being scanned. The exclusion list dialogue will allow you to select various files and folders and place them in a list of entries that will not be scanned. In most circumstances, there will be no need to use the exclusion list. If however, you believe there is a problem with the scanning of a particular file or folder, the list can be used to prevent you from scanning it.
