Why is my application listed in the scan results?

Any applications that do one or more of the following may be detected by Rogers Yahoo! Anti-Spyware:

• "Drive-by" download or installation on the computer.
• Change the settings on the computer without user permission.
• Create or modify the computer's host file.
• Display pop-up/pop-under advertising.
• Install additional software without clear notice.
• Connect to the Internet, modify settings, or track the computer user.
• Dial long-distance phone numbers.
• Leave components running after uninstall.
• Reinstall in the background without the specific consent of the user.
• Install applications without any clear way for the user to uninstall them.
