What Rogers Yahoo! Mail settings can I control for my child? |
On/Off: You have the option to turn off your child's access to Rogers Yahoo! Mail altogether. If you turn it off, your child cannot use Rogers Yahoo! Mail at all. This option may be too restrictive for most children.
Restricted Mail: You limit whom your child talks to by restricting email to the people listed in your child's Address Book. This means that only those listed can communicate with your child via Rogers Yahoo! Mail and vice versa. This is the best way to prevent strangers from contacting your child.
Choosing this option also gives you control over your child's Address Book, allowing you to add new contacts or remove inappropriate ones. Your child must request your permission by way of a Permission Slip whenever they want to add a new email address to their Address Book. You can then approve or deny the request.
Attachments: You can also turn off your child's ability to send or receive attachments with their Rogers Yahoo! Mail account. This is a good way to make sure your child doesn't accidentally download a virus or other inappropriate content.
