My child saw an inappropriate site. How can I prevent this from happening again?

On the whole, the main Web Filter settings protect your child from inappropriate material. However, if there is a site that is not blocked that you want to block, add that site to the list Never allow these sites. To do this:

  1. Go to Parental Controls.
  2. Click on the appropriate child's name.
  3. If the child is set to Full Access, click Change? and change their access level to one of the other choices—Mature Teens (16 to 17), Teens (13 to 15), or Kids (13 and under)—and click Save Settings. If not, proceed with Step 4.
  4. Click Edit Settings opposite Web Filter.
  5. Click on the link Choose Web sites next to the option Only allow and restrict specific Web sites I choose.
  6. Type in the URL of the site into the section labelled Never allow these sites.
  7. Click Add.
  8. When you're done adding sites, click Save Settings.

To protect your family with these features, you must create accounts for each member. Furthermore, you must install and activate a program on each PC used.
