How do I send email to new friends?

Use the following approval process:

1. Type the address of the new friend in the To field, and compose the rest of the email.
2. Click Send.
   If the Parental Controls feature is on, a "Request Contacts" page opens. This page sets up a Permission Slip to your parent.
3. Type a note about the new friends.
4. Click Request Contacts.
5. Click Save as a Draft.
6. Wait for your parent to approve your request.
7. Use the Address Book to refresh the To list with the approved addresses.

If there are people in the To list who are approved to get email from you, then you might want to consider sending the email to them now if that's appropriate.
