How do I download the Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection software?

Use Internet Explorer or the Rogers Yahoo! Browser because there's isn't an installer downloadable with Firefox.

To download the Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection software, follow the steps below. Steps 1 to 3 take about 30 minutes, although step 14 can take much longer, depending on the number, size, and kinds of files on your computer.

1. Save any open files and close other applications because the installation will require a restart of your computer.
2. Launch Internet Explorer or the Rogers Yahoo! Browser.
3. Go to http://rogers.software.yahoo.com/getprotected.
   The installation pages that open are self-explanatory. The following steps serve more as a preview of what will happen.
4. Click Start.
5. If instructed, download and run the Rogers Yahoo! Software Centre Detection Program or wait for it to be updated.
6. Click the square boxes to the left of the names of software to select or clear the item from the list of software items that will be installed. Click Learn More to open an explanation of the item.
7. Click Next.
   There opens a page titled Confirm Start of Installation listing your selections. If there is a mistake, click Back and correct the selections.
8. Click Install.
9. Read the agreement and click I Accept..
10. Click Next.
    This starts the download itself. The page shows the time remaining for the download, and a progress bar fills as each item installs. There opens a page headed Software Installation Complete.
11. Select or clear any additional customizations listed.
12. Click Finish.
    There opens a window asking if you want to restart your computer.
13. Click Yes.
    The computer restarts, and launches Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection.
14. Click, if time allows, Scan Now to start an initial scan.
    
    The initial scan can take a long time. Click, if time allows, Apply Update if this choice is shown. Follow the prompts of the windows displaying the results of the scan.
    
    If you decide to skip the initial scan, then click No, Thanks and initiate scans yourself later, although as soon as possible—for example, at the end of the day. To start the Rogers Yahoo! Anti-Spy scan, launch the Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection Dashboard, click Anti-Spy, and then click Scan Now.
