How do I uninstall Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection?

You uninstall Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection with the uninstaller provided.

Note: This will require a restart of your computer, so save your work in all applications and close them first.

To start the uninstaller follow these steps:

  1. Click Start in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
    The start menu comes up.
  2. Select these sucessive items Programs > Rogers Yahoo! Hi-Speed Internet > Uninstall Rogers Yahoo! Applications.
    This opens Rogers Yahoo! Applications, a checklist of the applications.

You can also start the uninstaller with these steps:

  1. Click Start in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
    The start menu comes up.
  2. Select these sucessive items:
    • (Settings)
    • Control Panel
    • Add/Remove Programs
    • Rogers Yahoo! Applications
  3. Click Change/Remove.
    This opens Rogers Yahoo! Applications, a checklist of the applications.

With Rogers Yahoo! Applications open, follow these steps to uninstall Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection.

  1. Click the plus sign to the left of Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection.
    This expands the list of its components so you can see what you're removing.
  2. Click the small square box to the left of Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection. This puts a check in its box and the boxes of all its components.
  3. Click Uninstall.
    This opens a window, Uninstaller, asking you if you're sure you want to uninstall the selected applications.
  4. Click Yes.
    Uninstallation of Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection's components begins with Anti-Spy. Then there opens a window, Uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar, asking you if you are sure you want to uninstall it.
  5. Click No.
    Uninstallation moves on to other components. There opens a window, Uninstall Rogers Yahoo! Parental Controls, asking for an OK to uninstall the controls which will require a restart of your system.
  6. Click OK.
    Uninstallation of Rogers Yahoo! Parental Controls, Anti-Virus, and Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection takes place, and the list in Rogers Yahoo! Applications refreshes with the remaining applications. There opens a window, Restart Alert, asking if you want to restart your computer.
  7. Save your work in other applications and close them if you haven't already.
  8. Click Yes in Restart Alert.
    The computer restarts with Rogers Yahoo! Online Protection removed from it.
