Why do I have to uninstall my old anti-virus to install Anti-Virus from Rogers Yahoo!?

The reason is that all anti-virus software applications do essentially the same things. If your computer has two anti-virus applications running simultaneously, this creates the possibility that they will try to do exactly the same thing at more or less the same time.
