What are these messages at the top of the Yahoo! Online Protection Dashboard?

If you see a message at the top of your Yahoo! Online Protection Dashboard it will usually mean one of three things:

• Alert: An alert will be sent to your Yahoo! Online Protection Dashboard if there is a serious security issue circulating the Internet, such as a really bad worm or virus. Alerts will include basic information as well as links to learn more about the issue and instructions on what, if anything, you need to do to ensure you protection.
• News story: Occasionally we will share critically important news stories related to online protection with you via the Yahoo! Online Protection Dashboard.
• Product news: We may notify you of a critical new update or feature that requires specific action on your part to download and/ or install.
