Can I upgrade to Microsoft Vista if I have Rogers Yahoo! Parental Controls installed on my computer?

Unfortunately if you have Rogers Yahoo! Parental Controls installed and activated on your XP computer you will not be able to complete the upgrade to Vista. We are working on an update to our software to make it compatible with Vista. However, if you wish to continue with the Vista upgrade at this time, you will first need to uninstall Rogers Yahoo! Parental Controls.

Follow the steps below to uninstall Parental Controls:

  1. From the Windows desktop, click "Start."
  2. Select "Settings."
  3. Click "Control Panel."
  4. Select "Add/Remove Programs."
  5. Select "Rogers Yahoo! Parental Controls" from the list of programs.
  6. Click "Remove."

Please note: This issue only affects customers upgrading from XP to Vista on the same computer where Parental Controls is already installed and activated.
