How do I control whether items from the Yahoo! menu are opened in a tab or window?

One of the new features in Rogers Yahoo! Toolbar 1.1 for Mozilla Firefox is the Yahoo! menu that appears when you click the right mouse button on a web page. This menu lets you search for information, share it with your friends, and save it for future use.

Several of the choices send you to a new web page, which either opens a new tab or a new window. Rogers Yahoo! Toolbar honors your Mozilla Firefox settings for requests from external applications when deciding whether to open a new window or a new tab. You can change these settings by doing the following:

  1. Click "Options" from the Mozilla Firefox "Tools" menu.
  2. Click the "Tabs" tab at the top of the Options dialogue.
  3. Choose your preference for "Open links from other applications in". You can choose between having the web pages open in a new window, a new tab in the most recent window, or the most recent tab or window.
  4. Click "OK" to close the Options dialogue.

You can change this option at any time.
