Sharing information using Rogers Yahoo! Smart Tools

Starting with Rogers Yahoo! Toolbar 6.2 for Internet Explorer, you can share the highlighted information with friends through email and Rogers Yahoo! Messenger.

Rogers Yahoo! Messenger

To share something interesting in a web page via Rogers Yahoo! Messenger, do the following:

1. Visit an interesting web site.
2. Use your mouse to select the text on the web site that you want to share.
3. Move your mouse pointer over the Rogers Yahoo! Smart Tools icon that appears near the selected text.
4. Select "by IM" from the "Share This" menu.
5. Rogers Yahoo! Messenger then prompts you for the person you want to send this information to and opens a IM window with the web page title, URL, and selected text already entered.

Email

To share something interesting in a web page via email, do the following:

1. Visit an interesting web site.
2. Use your mouse to select the text on the web site that you want to share.
3. Move your mouse pointer over the Rogers Yahoo! Smart Tools icon that appears near the selected text.
4. Select "by Email" from the "Share This" menu.
5. An email compose window opens in your default email application with the web page title, URL, and selected text already entered.
