How do I change the city for my weather forecast in the calendar timeline?

Hey, check it out: when you hold your mouse over today’s date in the calendar timeline at the bottom of your Mail window, your day’s schedule and the day’s weather forecast pop up. Nice!

Want to change the city for that weather forecast? Here’s how:

  1. From the folder list on the left of the page, click Calendar.
  2. See your city under today’s date?
    • Do NOT click the name of the city – unless you’d like to go into the weather section of Yahoo! News to check on weather in more detail.
    • To change the city for the forecast that pops up each time you go into your calendar, click Edit.
  3. Click Add or Remove Cities.
  4. A page opens with two columns – “Your Choices” on the right contains any cities you’ve previously selected.
    • To select a new city, click the region under “Available Sections” on the left. For example, Canada.
  5. Click the state, province, district or area in which your city is located.
  6. From “Available Cities”, click the city for which you’d now like to get forecasts.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Finished.
  9. Your new selection now appears under “Your Choices”. See it? Click Finished again, and close this browser window by clicking the red X in the upper-right corner.
  10. Return to your Mail window. Click Calendar.
  11. See your old city under today’s date? Once again, click Edit.
  12. In the pull-down menu, you’ll now see your new city. Click it!
  13. Click Save. Ahhh. Done. Finally!
