Can I compose a message with bold, italics, and other flashy stuff?

Oh yes. Big time. When you click Compose to open a new message, do you see a toolbar above the message window? If so, there you go. Use those buttons to compose in bold, italics, and even in color.

If you don't see the toolbar, look next to the Subject: box on your Compose screen, where you’ll find a link that says Rich Text. Click it!

Now you'll see the toolbar with buttons to do that "flashy stuff".
