I received a renewal bill or solicitation from another company. Is this legitimate? |
Companies other than Yahoo! might have sent domain name holders like you domain name expiration notices and solicitations that specifically relate to the domain that you have registered with Yahoo!.
We're alerting you that you should not respond to notices or solicitations from any other company about the domain you registered with Yahoo!.
If you registered your domain name through Yahoo!, your domain renewal fees are automatically paid by Yahoo! as a part of your recurring monthly or yearly service fees, as long as your service is active and not past due. Be sure your Yahoo! Wallet information is up to date. If you want to keep your current domain and associated services with Yahoo!, don't respond to renewal solicitations from other companies which specifically relate to the domain you've registered with Yahoo!.
If you renew your Rogers Yahoo! Mail Personal Address domain through any other company, you'll be transferring your domain away from Yahoo!. Transferring your domain away from Yahoo! doesn't automatically cancel your Rogers Yahoo! Mail Personal Address service or alter your fees.
If you want to have your domain name transferred away from Yahoo!, contact the new registrar. They'll be able to initiate and handle the request with you entirely. Yahoo! can't reverse a domain transfer when completed. If your domain name is transferred to a different registrar, you need to cancel your Rogers Yahoo! Mail Personal Address account. If you still need hosting services (email, forwarding, etc.), you can then sign up again. However, any domain registration/renewal fees will not be handled by Yahoo!.
