What are lists and how do I use them?

Lists are groups of people to whom you regularly send group emails. Like, say, your Friday night movie club. Your softball team? Your family. A list makes it simple to send an email to your group.

Adding a list

1. Click Contacts in the list of folders down the left side of your Rogers Yahoo! Mail window to open a Contacts tab.
2. At the top of the tab, click Add List.
3. Enter the name of the list in the box where it says "Type list name here". Sorry – list names can't contain spaces, commas, or single or double quotes. After creating your list, you’ll return to this line to click Save.
4. To add members to your list, begin typing a contact’s name or email address in the box beside Add Contact to List. AutoComplete will recognize your intended contact after only a few letters. When you see the right name or address appear below, click on it. The contact will be added to the list, which forms in the area below. Note: Currently, you can only add members who are already in your Contacts.
5. If you add someone by mistake or want someone off your list, no problem! You can delete contacts easily by first clicking the contact, then either clicking Delete above the list or pressing Delete on your keyboard. Note: The contact will be removed only from the current list, not from your Contacts folder.
6. When you're finished adding members to your list, click Save.

Your list now appears in your Contacts list. Do you see it? The name of your list is placed alphabetically within all your other contacts. If you click it, the names in the list appear in the detail area to the right.

Edit your list

You can edit the list (add or delete contacts) by clicking the name of the list from your Contacts, then clicking Edit just above the detail area. Or, just right-click the name of the list in your Contacts list, and click Edit in that menu.

Deleting a List

Right-click the list you want to remove. From the menu that appears, click Delete. Note: Deleting a list only removes the list. It does not remove list members from your Contacts folder.
