How do I collect my mail with Microsoft Entourage 2001 and Higher?

Want to POP your Rogers Yahoo! Mail into the Microsoft Entourage email client for Macintosh? Here's how to do it:

1. Open the Entourage email client (application) and click the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Accounts" from the pull-down menu.
3. Click the "New" button in the upper-left corner of the Accounts window.
4. Enter your name as you would like it to appear to the recipient.
5. Click the radio button next to "I already have an email address that I'd like to use."
6. Enter your email address in the field provided (e.g., "user@rogers.com").
7. Select "My incoming mail server is a(n) POP3."
8. Enter pop.broadband.rogers.com (your incoming mail server) in the field provided.
9. Click 'Click here for advanced receiving options' in the 'Receiving mail' section.
10. Ensure the box next to 'This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)' is not checked.
11. Enter smtp.broadband.rogers.com (your outgoing (SMTP) mail server) in the field provided.
12. Click 'Click here for advanced sending options' in the 'Sending mail' section.
13. Ensure the box next to 'This SMTP service requires a secure connection (SSL)' is not checked.
14. Do not check the box next to 'Override default SMTP port:.'
15. Check the box next to 'SMTP server requires authentication,' and click 'OK.'
16. In the "Account ID" field, enter your Rogers Yahoo! ID (e.g., your email address without the "@rogers.com").
17. Enter your password.
18. To have the Entourage client remember your password so you won't need to enter each time you send or receive mail, check the "Remember password" box.
19. Enter your full Rogers Yahoo! email address in the "Account Name" field.
20. Click "Finish."

Important: The Rogers Yahoo! SMTP server requires authentication. To enable this setting, do the following:

1. Open the Entourage client (application) and click the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Accounts" from the pull-down menu.
3. Double-click your Yahoo! account.
4. On the Account Settings window, scroll to the "Sending Mail" category toward the bottom.
5. Click "Click Here for Advanced Sending Options."
6. Check the box next to "SMTP Server Requires Authentication."
7. Close this window by clicking the tiny box in the upper-left corner.
8. Click "OK."

To ensure the new settings are configured properly, we suggest closing the Entourage client and opening it again before sending or receiving messages.
