Why am I having trouble attaching a file?

If you're trying to attach a file to an email and receive an error message that states either "there was a problem uploading your documents" or "your system made a request that the browser could not understand," it's most likely the file you're trying to attach is open. True? If so, save then close this file in order for it to attach properly.

If your browser is stalled or the file doesn't seem to be attaching after a number of minutes, here are some things to check or try:

Slow connection speeds or browser issues: In this case, we recommend that you try using a different browser (if you are using Internet Explorer, try switching to Firefox, Netscape, etc.), and try uploading your files at less busy times of the day.

Other programs running: If you have a bunch of other programs currently running, your available memory might be low. This could slow down the attaching process. We recommend closing any programs you're not using, then going through the attachment process again.
