I'm having trouble attaching a file.

If you're trying to attach a file to an email and you get the error message "there was a problem uploading your documents" or "your system made a request that the browser could not understand", this usually just means that the file you're trying to attach is open. True? If so, save then close this file in order to attach it properly.

If your browser is stalled or the file doesn't seem to be attaching after a number of minutes, here are some things to check or try:

  • File size: Larger files take longer to upload. Also, you can only add attachments up to your 20MB message limit. If you have an enormous file that won't fit within this limit, we apologize for the inconvenience! But you'll need to investigate another file-sharing option.
  • Other programs running: If you have a bunch of other programs currently running, your available memory might be low. This could slow down the attaching process. We recommend closing any programs you're not using, then going through the attachment process again.
  • Slow connection speeds or browser issues: In this case, we recommend that you try using a different browser (if you are using Internet Explorer, try switching to Firefox, Netscape, etc.).
