How do I reply to a message?

First, click on the message to open it. Then:

  1. Click Reply above the message. If you’d like to reply to everyone who got the email (if you were part of a group of people who received it), click on the down arrow on the right side of Reply, and select Reply All. This sends your reply to all recipients of the original message, as well as to the sender.
  2. A Compose window opens. If you want to add more recipients, you can type in additional email addresses.
  3. Click the cursor wherever you want to begin typing, and write your message.

Tip: To make your reply easy to read, it often helps to hit Enter a couple of times to add space between lines. Here, we clicked the cursor after the question mark, then hit Enter twice to start the line that answers the question:

    >for three years. Anyway, how's Mike doing?

Mike is great! I'll tell him you said Hi.

    >We miss him. The house where he used to live is

  4. Click Send to send your Reply.

Note: If you’re in the middle of composing a message and you need to stop, click Save as a Draft to the right of Send. This saves your uncompleted message in your “Drafts” folder. Come back whenever you want to finish it.
