How do I set my Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker options?

To set your Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker options:

  1. Click the "Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker" category on the Yahoo! Browser Options window.
  2. This page allows you to turn the Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker on or off and specify other preferences for it. Note that alternatively, you can use the Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker menu icon (to the left of the Search bar) or the Protection Toolbar icon to set your Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker options.

  3. Check the box next to each option to enable it as follows:
    • Enable Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker:Turns on the Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker.
    • Play Sound when a pop-up is blocked: Alerts you with a sound when a pop-up is blocked. If you do not check this box, no audio alert sounds.
    • Show Alert window at the bottom right corner of the screen when a pop-up is blocked: Displays an alert when a pop-up is blocked. If you do not check this box, no visual alert appears.
  4. To add a domain from which you want to allow pop-ups, click the "Add" button.
  5. This feature comes in handy if, for example, your bank uses pop-up windows to provide information. Simply add your bank's domain (such as bankofamerica.com) to the list of domains where pop-ups are allowed.

  6. Enter the domain you want to allow, and then click the "OK" button.
  7. The domain that you added now appears in the Allowed Pop-Ups list.

  8. Add more domains to the list, if desired, by repeating steps 6 and 7.
  9. To edit a domain on the list, select the desired domain, and then click the "Edit" button.
  10. Edit the domain as desired, and then click the "OK" button.
  11. The changes to the domain appear on the list.

  12. To remove a domain from the list (to resume blocking pop-ups from that domain), select the desired domain, and then click the "Remove" button.
  13. A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to remove the selected domain from the list.

  14. Click the "Yes" button.
  15. The selected domain no longer appears on the list, and any pop-ups on that web site will be blocked.
