How do I set my general browser options?

To change your general browser preferences:

  1. Click the "General" category on the Yahoo! Browser Options window.
  2. To be prompted about whether the Rogers Yahoo! Browser is your default browser each time you launch it, check the box next to "Always check." To disable the prompt, uncheck the box.
  3. To display the Sidebar automatically when you open a new browser window, check the box next to "Display Sidebar." If you do not want to display the Sidebar automatically, uncheck the box.
  4. To clear the history of all URLs typed into the Address field, click the "Clear URLs" button.
  5. After you clear the URLs, the browser will be unable to suggest possible ways to complete URLs that you start to enter based on web pages you have visited in the past. A message prompts you to confirm that you want to remove all URLs from the Address field.

  6. Click the "Yes" button.
  7. A message confirms that the URLs were removed.

  8. Click the "OK" button.
  9. To clear the history of all text typed into the Search bar, click the "Clear Search" button.
  10. After you clear the search text, the browser will be unable to suggest possible ways to complete search text that you start to enter based on searches you have performed in the past. A message prompts you to confirm that you want to remove all search strings from the Search bar.

  11. Click the "Yes" button.
  12. A message confirms that the search strings were removed.

  13. Click the "OK" button.
