How do I set Microsoft Internet Explorer as my default browser?

To set Internet Explorer as your default browser:

1. On your Windows Start menu, select "Settings," and then select "Control Panel."
2. Double-click the "Internet Options" icon.
3. Click the "Programs" tab.
4. Check the box next to "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser."
5. Click the "OK" button.
6. Close the Control Panel and any browser windows you might have open.
7. Launch Internet Explorer.

A message appears asking you if you want to make Internet Explorer your default browser.

8. Click the "Yes" button.

Internet Explorer opens and is set to be your default browser.
