How do I send an instant message using the Sidebar?

The Rogers Yahoo! Messenger Sidebar module allows you to exchange instant messages with other users. Any incoming messages you receive appear in the usual Instant Message window.

The Rogers Yahoo! Messenger mini-module displays your current online status and provides a pull-down menu you can use to change your status. You can click the Rogers Yahoo! Messenger mini-module (outside of the pull-down menu) to make Rogers Yahoo! Messenger the active Sidebar module. If you are not signed in to Rogers Yahoo! Messenger, a "Sign In to Messenger" link appears. Click that link to sign in. (Note that you must have Rogers Yahoo! Messenger installed to use the Rogers Yahoo! Messenger Sidebar module. If you do not have Rogers Yahoo! Messenger installed, click the link that appears in the Rogers Yahoo! Messenger Sidebar module to go to a download page to install Rogers Yahoo! Messenger.)

When Rogers Yahoo! Messenger is the active Sidebar module, you can:

• Send an instant message to one of the contacts on your list by clicking the contact name and then typing your message as usual.
• Change your online status by selecting it from the status pull-down menu.
• Start your webcam by clicking "Start Your WebCam" near the top of the Rogers Yahoo! Messenger Sidebar module.
• Invite one of your contacts to cobrowse with you by right-clicking the contact's name and then selecting "cobrowse" from the context menu.
• Click the >> button to access additional options, such as sending a file, adding a contact, deleting the selected contact, showing friends, refreshing the Rogers Yahoo! Messenger Sidebar module, and cobrowsing with friends.
