How do I use Rogers Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker?

Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker is a feature of the Rogers Yahoo! Browser that lets you manage pop-up windows. It can stop many types of windows that try to open automatically on top of the browser window, including:

  • Pop-up and pop-under ads
  • Windows that open after a page loads
  • Windows that open when you leave a site
  • Windows that open when you close your browser

There are some types of windows that Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker does not block, such as windows that open because you click a link in the browser and instant messaging windows.

To turn Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker on or off:

  • On the Tools menu, select "Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker," and select "Enable Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker" on the cascading menu.
  • Click the Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker menu icon (to the left of the Search bar), and select the "Enable Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker" option.
  • If the Protection Toolbar icon is displayed, click it to display its menu, and select the "Enable Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker" option.

When a check mark appears next to "Enable Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker" on any of these menus, Rogers Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker is turned on. When no check mark appears, it is turned off.
