How do I use tab browsing?

The Rogers Yahoo! Browser allows you to open one or more web pages within the same browser window by using tabs. Each tab functions like a browser window, but you can switch back and forth between tabs to see multiple web pages without opening multiple windows. For example, while viewing search results on one tab, you can click multiple links in those search results and display the linked pages on background tabs. When you launch the browser, it displays each web page in your start group on a separate tab.

There are a number of ways to add a tab to display another web page without interrupting the page you are viewing:

  • Right-click any link on a web page, and then select the "Open Link in New Tab" option.
  • Type a new URL into the Address bar, and then click the "New Tab" button to open the new web page on a new tab.
  • On the File menu, select "New Blank Tab" to open a new tab that not does display any particular web page. When it appears, type a URL into the Address bar, and the press the "Enter" key, or click one of your bookmarks or Toolbar buttons.
  • On the File menu, select "New Tab" to open the current page on another tab.

Each tab displays the name of its web page. To view the content of another tab, simply click the tab you want to see.

To close the tab you are viewing, click the "X" button on the right side of the tab bar.
