If you have low vision, you can improve performance by preventing images, sounds, or videos from loading into your web browser. If you are sensitive to screen flashing, you can turn off images that flicker. If sounds are distracting or interfere with your web experience, you can turn off the sounds in your browser.
General Accessibility Rendering Options
You can use the "Advanced" setting in your browser to do the following:
- Expand alt text for all images.
- Move the system caret with focus/selection changes.
- Display a notification about script errors.
- Enable or disable install on demand.
- Notify when downloads are complete.
- Always underline links.
- Use auto complete in web addresses.
- Toggle off images, animations, sounds, and videos.
To open the advanced settings dialogue box:
- Press "ALT" + "T" to open the Rogers Yahoo! Browser menu.
- Press "I" to open the "Internet Options" menu.
- Select the "Advanced Settings" tab.
Toggle Graphics and Sounds:
You can quickly toggle off graphics and sounds through the "Browser Options" menu:
- Press "ALT" + "T" to open the Rogers Yahoo! Browser menu.
- Press "B" to open the "Browser Options" menu.
- Check or uncheck the "Display graphics and sounds" box.
