The release of Microsoft's Windows XP Service Pack 2 has made it necessary to update the Yahoo!7 software with a small patch (125k). Service Pack 2 provides some significant security improvements, but the changes have created conflicts with the following components of the Yahoo!7 software:

• Active X Control Blocking

Elements of the Yahoo!7 Software rely on Active X Controls. Parts of the software will not display properly without the patch.

• Warning Message for Sidebar Loading

The Yahoo!7 Sidebar for Internet Explorer will not load properly without the patch.

• Messenger Blocking

Without the patch, Yahoo!7 Messenger will be blocked when it attempts to connect to the Internet.

After the patch is downloaded, all Yahoo!7 software will function properly.
