To remove a public profile, go to the ]profile edit page, click "Edit" beside each profile, and delete the information you do not want stored in the database.

Sometimes personal information is displayed when you engage in certain activities on Yahoo!. For example, your Yahoo! ID or alias will be publicly displayed if you use Chat or Message Boards or when you choose to participate in Yahoo! Auctions, among other activities.
