If you don't want anyone to know when you're online, you can disable the online presence indicator at any time. Here's how:

1. Go to Messenger.
2. Go to the Login menu and select "My Profiles."
3. Uncheck the box next to the profile name used for your personal profile to disable online presence.
4. Go back to Yahoo!7 Dating to see your revised online status.

Note: If you used your main Yahoo! ID to create your profile, you'll need to set your Messenger status to invisible to disable online presence.

If you prefer to only have users contact you via email, you can set your communication preferences to be receive email only. Here's how:

1. Go to Yahoo!7 Dating, and log in if you have not done so already.
2. Click the "My Profile" or "Edit Profile" link from the home page.
3. On the next page is a preview of your profile. Click the "Communication Preference" link to change your preference to "email only" or "Email and IM"
