I'm not receiving alerts for new messages. Why?

If you are experiencing problems with Yahoo!7 Dating Mailbox alerts, please read through the following. We send alerts once a day, and only if you have not accessed your mailbox within that 24-hour period.

If you accessed your mailbox for that day, we will not send any new alerts for messages that day.

If you are receiving invalid, delayed, or no alerts at all, please be patient as we might be experiencing temporary server problems.

Please note: The Yahoo!7 Dating Mailbox alert tells you only how many new messages you have received since the last time you went to your Yahoo!7 Dating Mailbox, not how many unread messages you have (even if those messages are still classed as "New").

When you log in to your Yahoo!7 Dating Mailbox, you are shown a "snapshot" of your Mailbox at that moment. If you spend a long period of time either composing or reading a message, then you won't be able to see any new messages that arrive in your Mailbox during that time. Only when you load a new snapshot of your Mailbox home page are you alerted to the presence of new messages.
