Disabling Internet Browser Add-ons / Plug-ins

Each Internet browser comes with optional upgrades or enhancements commonly known as "add-ons" or "plug-ins." These features make your Internet browser more useful & certain add-ons or plug-ins can potentially cause issues with Yahoo!7 Mail. Common uses of add-ons and plug-ins include (but aren't limited to) toolbars, news or stock tickers, instant messaging, weather alerts, email alerts, anti-virus/anti-spy, or games. To find out if this is the case, please follow the steps for your specific browser below:

Google Chrome:

Launch Google Chrome from Start/Run with the parameter -disable-plugins

For example, in Vista:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe -disable-plugins

Once you've successfully disabled your Internet browser's add-ons or plug-ins, try accessing your Yahoo!7 Mail account again and compose, reply, or forward a message. If the steps above fix the problem, this will confirm that an add-on or plug-in in your Internet browser is the culprit causing behind the problem.

Previous Step: Introduction

Next Step: Temporarily disabling anti-virus, anti-spy ware, and firewall products
