Sometimes, due to how browsers behave, you may need to clear(delete) your browser's cookies in order for Yahoo! Mail to work properly.

Note: If you have a browser that is not listed below, please check that browser's help for instructions on deleting cookies.

To clear cookies in IE 6.x for Windows:

  1. Click on the Tools menu in the browser.
  2. Select Internet Options from the pull-down menu.
  3. Click on the General tab on the top portion.
  4. In the middle section, click on the Delete Cookies button. A popup window will appear and press OK in this window to delete the cookies.
  5. Click on the OK button in the Internet Options window.

To clear cookies in FireFox 1.x for Windows:

  1. Click on Tools menu in the browser.
  2. Select Options from the pull-down menu.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab on the left portion of the window.
  4. In the middle section, click on the Clear button next to the word Cookies.
  5. Click on the OK button in the Options window.

At this point, all of the cookies your browser had stored have been deleted. There is no need to exit or restart your browser at this point.
