The Yahoo!7 homepage uses Flash. This widely used multimedia tool enhances the overall visual experience and allows the playing of video without leaving the page.

If you are using an older version of Flash you may see a message asking whether you want to upgrade. This will install the latest version of Flash with a single click, and allow you to enjoy the best viewing experience.

However, you also have the option to disable Flash in this part of the page. This “Basic display” mode is a better option for screen readers, and may also be better if you have a slow Internet connection; or if you are unable to upgrade for other reasons.

To use the “Basic display” mode, simply select this from the “Page Options” menu on the left of the page. You can change your mind and re-select the “Flash” version at any time.
