An ad is a marketing message displayed to your prospective customers. It is made up of a title, description, and URL. These three elements can work together to help you distinguish your business from your competitors' and provide prospective customers with a reason to click on your ad and visit your site.
Before creating an ad, create a campaign and ad group. When you create the ad you'll choose keywords that describe the products and services you sell. At any time, you can modify an ad or add a new ad to a campaign.
To create an ad:
1. Click the Campaigns tab. The Campaigns page opens.
2. Identify a campaign and click its link. The Campaign Details page opens.
3. Identify an ad group and clicks its link. The Ad Group Details page opens.
4. Click the Create New Ad link. The Create Your Ad page opens.
5. Enter the ad title, short description, long description, destination URL, or display URL.
6. Click Save Changes.
To modify an ad:
1. Click the Campaigns tab. The Campaigns page opens.
2. Identify a campaign and click its link. The Campaign Details page opens.
3. Identify an ad group and clicks its link. The Ad Group Details page opens.
4. Click the Ads tab. A list of ads defined for the ad group is displayed.
5. In the Ads table, click the link for the ad. The Create Your Ad page for that ad opens.
6. Edit the title, short description, long description, destination URL, or display URL.
7. Click Save Changes.
