If you continue to experience password issues after trying our recommended first troubleshooting steps, there could be a conflict in your account security settings for your mobile device. Please use the following steps to ensure there are no conflicting security settings:
- Sign into your Yahoo! Mail account from a desktop computer.
- In the top-right corner of the page, hover over the link Hi, (your name) and select Account Info from the drop-down box. You will need to provide your password again for security purposes.
- On the Account Info page under the heading "Sign-In and Security" heading, click the link Manage Apps and Website Connections. This page lists websites, applications, and mobile devices that you have authorized to access your Yahoo! account.
- Remove any entries listed for Yahoo! Mobile or Yahoo! for your type of device.
- Log into your Yahoo! Mail account using your mobile device and attempt to reproduce the issue.
