Installing webcams

Webcam requirements and a video on setting up your webcam.


Resolution

First, be sure that your webcam meets the Yahoo! Messenger requirements.

If you have an external webcam, you'll need to follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer of your webcam.

Once you locate the manufacturer's installation information, follow the instructions they provide in their documentation.



Additional Information
  • Manufacturer software driver installation instructions can vary. We recommend that you refer to the documentation and installation CD that came with your webcam.
  • Most webcam manufacturers maintain the latest webcam software drivers on the download or support areas of their website. Just download it and save it to your computer.
  • Plug in your webcam USB cord only when prompted, this is usually done after rebooting your computer.
