Description

 This document explains that video calling is free with Yahoo! Messenger.


Resolution

Yahoo! Messenger Video Calling is free. To start a video call to another Yahoo! Messenger customer, you and your friend will need a computer with a microphone, speakers, and connected webcam (either built-in or external). If your friend doesn't have a webcam, you can still make a video call with them. Your friend will be able to see your video but you won't see anything from them.

Note: The first time you make a video call, Yahoo! Messenger will open the "Yahoo! Video and Voice Setup" assistant to help you optimize the call quality of your microphone, speakers, and webcam.

Tip: Run the "Yahoo! Video and Voice Setup" assistant any time you'd like to make sure your microphone, speakers, and webcam are working properly.
