Signatures in Yahoo Mail

Want the emails you send to include important contact information, a meaningful quote, or a personalized message? Create a signature and express yourself.

What's a signature?

A signature is a way to include the same details on all your sent messages.

Possible things to include in a signature:

  • Your name, phone number, and other contact information.
  • A link to your website.
  • A personalized note to your recipients.

Adding a signature

  1. Mouse over the Settings menu icon Gear Icon | select Settings.
  2. Click Writing email.
  3. Select the type of signature you want:
    • Don't use a signature - Your outgoing messages won't contain a signature.
    • Show a plain text signature - Your signature won't contain formatting.
    • Show a rich text signature - Your signature can utilize any of the rich text options in the toolbar.
  4. Enter your signature in the text field.
  5. Click Save.

Editing a signature

  1. Mouse over the Settings menu icon Gear Icon | select Settings.
  2. Click Writing email.
  3. Make your edits in the text field.
  4. Click Save

Disabling a signature

  1. Mouse over the Settings menu icon Gear Icon, | select Settings.
  2. Click Writing email.
  3. From the Signature drop-down menu, select Don't use a signature.
  4. Click Save.
