Identification required for check-in at the airport

Resolution

When checking in for your flight, you need to present a government issued photo ID, such as a drivers license, state issued ID, or passport and a ticket confirmation, such as an e-ticket itinerary (which displays the ticket number) or a paper ticket.

If you're checking in for an international flight, you need to present your passport in nearly all cases. If a visa is required by the country you're visiting, you must check with the countries embassy or consulate to see if you need to acquire the visa prior to your departure.

For security, the name on your ID must match the name on your ticket.

Per FAA rules, children do not need photo ID as long as an accompanying adult certifies their identity.
