Why am I being signed out of Yahoo! Toolbar?

Resolution

Being inadvertently signed out of Yahoo! Toolbar or not seeing your toolbar customizations is typically caused by your cookies being deleted when you close your browser. As you may well know, a "cookie" is a small piece of information stored by your browser to help identify a user. Yahoo! uses cookies to keep you signed in to your account and to remember your preferred settings (e.g., custom apps, app layout, or saved locations in apps). If your cookie isn't being retained, you'll be signed out of your account when you close your browser; and your preferred settings will not be remembered. Sometimes, this happens when you leave the browser open and move from one website to another.

Often, this scenario is caused by your browser's privacy settings or by another application, such as Internet protection software. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to determine exactly what application on your system could be causing the problem. For more information about how to change your cookie settings, please consult your browser's help file.
