This article provides instructions for searching for apps with Yahoo! App Search.

Beginning your Search

1. Click the Apps tab above the Yahoo! search box
2. Enter your search terms
3. Click Search.

Note: Alternatively, you can access Yahoo! App Search directly at apps.search.yahoo.com.

Searching for Apps

1. Enter your search term into the search box and click Search. You will see a list of apps matching your search term, sorted by relevancy.
2. Click the yellow price button to begin downloading the app to your mobile device.

Clicking the app name or icon for a result will bring up details about the app; Including a description, reviews, screenshots, and more. You can search again for different keywords using the search box on this page.

Browsing for Apps

You can also browse for new apps by clicking the categories on the Yahoo! App Search home page. Select from any of the categories listed below the search box, or click More to view additional categories. Click All to reset your category selection. You can further refine your browsing by selecting a platform (either iPhone or Android).

The Top Ten carousel below the categories will display screenshots, prices, descriptions and ratings for the top apps within the selected category. Clicking the app name or screenshot will take you to the app information page with additional screenshots, reviews and an expanded description.

The Top Ten carousel will slowly scroll through each app in the top ten, however you can manually scroll by clicking the blue arrows on the left and right side of the carousel. Or you can jump to a specific position in the top ten by clicking one of the ten gray dots below the carousel.

You can find additional top apps below the Top Ten carousel sorted into three categories: Free Apps, Paid Apps and Highest Rated Apps. Clicking on any of these categories displays up to eight thumbnails of apps within that category (please note that all displayed apps will also adhere to any previous category and platform selections, such as Weather, Android, etc.).

You can scroll through additional pages of apps by clicking the arrows at the top of any of the three categories. Clicking on any app name or thumbnail in a category will bring you to the app information page.
