How to create a screenshot

This article gives instructions for capturing a picture of your computer screen for PC (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and previous versions) and Mac.
Resolution
You can follow these screenshot instructions for a PC (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and previous versions) or Mac computer.
To create a screenshot on a PC with Windows:
- Reproduce the issue you've been experiencing.
- Be sure to take a screenshot of the entire page.
- Press Print Screen on your keyboard. (It may be labeled on your keyboard as PrtScn/SysRq.)
- Open your Microsoft Paint:
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Select Programs (or All Programs).
- Select Accessories.
- Select Paint.
- Select Edit | Paste or press Ctrl+V on your keyboard.
- If you are prompted that the "image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap," click the Yes button.
- Select File | Save or press Ctrl+S on your keyboard.
- Click Desktop at the left to set the save location.
- Type a name in the File name field.
- Select JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF) in the Save as type pull-down menu.
- Click Save.
This file can be sent as an attachment in your next reply if you are working with Customer Support.
To create a screenshot on a Mac:
- Reproduce the issue you have been experiencing.
- Be sure to take a screenshot of the entire page.
- On your keyboard, press the key combination Command + Shift + 3.
- A new file "Untitled.png" will be created on your desktop.
This file can be sent as an attachment in your next reply if you are working with Customer Support.
