While you're concentrating on what's happening on the pitch, we do all the hard work of gathering statistics and computing point totals and standings.

We also have a system that calculates a player's fantasy value, based on their current performance, and that of recent seasons.

Each week, you get to decide which 11 players to start based on a budget of 100 'units'. The better players perform in real-life games, the more their value rises. This might mean that a player costs more to buy later on in the season.

If you hold onto them, any increase in their value will not be taken from your 100 budget. But if you sell an in-form player, and then try to buy him back, he may well ending up costing you more than you initially paid. Buying players just before they turn in a top performance is the best time to play the transfer market. To do this well often requires a keen eye for form but remember you always sell players at the price you paid for them.
