Invite sharing tools in College Tourney Pick'em
This article explains how to enable and deactivate group sharing tools in Facebook and Twitter for your Yahoo! Sports Tourney Pick'em group.
The Invite Sharing Tools setting is only available to group commissioners. By enabling it during group creation or later by going to Edit Group Settings, you will be able to share an invitation to join your group on Facebook and/or Twitter.
Once this feature is enabled, you will find Facebook and Twitter buttons available on your group Home page as well as on the group's Invite Friends page.
Clicking on the Facebook button will open a new Facebook share window, where you will be prompted to log in to Facebook if you aren't already. Then you will be able to post an invite to your Wall, which is the default option, or send a private message to your Facebook friends by clicking on the Send as a Message instead option. You must still click on the Share or Send Message button to actually publish the invite.
Clicking on the Twitter button will open a new Twitter window, where you will be prompted to log in to Twitter if you aren't already. Then you will find a pre-filled status update with a link to join your group. You must click the update button to publish the invite.
Please note: If you publish your group to Facebook or Twitter, your invitation may become public based on your privacy settings for Facebook and Twitter. This means that anyone who finds the link will be able to join your group.
If, at any point, you decide to deactivate any of the invitation links you've published, you may visit the Edit Group Settings commissioner tool and change the Invite Sharing Tools setting to Disabled. This will disable the web page that users arrive at after clicking the invitation link on Facebook or Twitter and will prevent them from joining the group.
