Differences between public and private groups in Pro Football Pick'em

Description

This article explains the options available for private Pro Football Pick'em group commissioners and what is needed to join a private group.

Resolution

Create a Private Group and personally invite up to 100 of your friends or office mates to join! As the commissioner, you can configure your group to require simply picking the winners, or make the game more difficult by including point spreads and/or confidence points. You can also choose to use the default pick submission deadline, or select a different one from among options provided. Additionally, all Private Groups can allow for the exclusion of up to 16 scores. If one of these options is chosen, the selected number of lowest scores will automatically be dropped and not counted in the standings. Finally, you may elect to have your group pick through the playoffs.

To join someone else's Private Group, you need to get the Group ID# and Password from the group's founder.

If you don't yet have a whole group ready to sign up, join our public groups and test your expertise against fans from around the world. The public group settings do not use point spreads, confidence points, or pick through the playoffs.

All players can submit only one (1) pick set into the public groups and may create or join up to three (3) Private groups.

Note: The maximum number of members allowed in a Private group is 100. The minimum is 1.
