Playoff Reseeding
Description
This article will explain how Playoff Reseeding will edit the second-round playoff schedule, so that the highest seeded team will play the lowest ranked team.
Resolution
If your league uses the three-week playoff setting, Playoff Reseeding will adjust the second-round matchups so that the highest seeded team will play the lowest ranked team. For playoff reseeding to take effect, there must have been an upset in round one of the playoffs.
Commissioners can enable or disable Playoff Reseeding by doing the following:
- Select the Commish Tools tab.
- Select the Edit League Settings link.
- Toward the bottom of the page, in the "Only apply in Head-to-Head leagues" section, set "Playoff Reseeding" to either Never Reseed or Reseed Before Each Round.
- Select the Submit button.
NOTE: The option to allow for reseeding playoff brackets locks when the playoffs begin. This is a choice that needs to be made prior to the start of the playoffs in order to ensure fair play and sportsmanship, rather than a late first-round rule change after it is deemed to be beneficial.
