Commissioner control in private leagues
Description
Commissioners have complete control over their leagues, including the powers explained in this article.
Resolution
By joining a private league, you give the commissioner of the league permission to edit your roster for the fantasy season.
The commissioner can also lock any team in the league from performing league-related actions (trading, add/drop, posting, etc.) at any time and without notification or warning.
These powers are necessary in order to allow the commissioner to implement any offline roster or scoring rules not supported by the Yahoo! system. While we hope that all commissioners administer their leagues in good faith, Yahoo! will not become involved in disputes between commissioners and managers.
Commissioners can edit another team's roster by going to Commish Tools | Edit Rosters. Select the team you want to change and click on one of these options:
- Edit Roster
- Add Player
- Drop Player
Since you can only control one team at a time, you must return to this page and follow the same procedure each time you want to control another team.
Please note: If your league uses Daily - Today roster changes, a commissioner can make same-day edits to other teams' rosters. Otherwise, any commissioner edits will affect future rosters only.
If a manager does not want to give a private commissioner control over their team, they can join a Public league, where Yahoo! Sports acts as commissioner.
