Editing league's playoff bracket in Fantasy Football

ID: SLN6449
Refers to: Fantasy Football

Description

This article explains how a league commissioner can force changes to their Fantasy Football league's playoff brackets.

Resolution

It is not possible for a league commissioner to edit the playoff bracket or tiebreaker criteria.

Teams that qualify for the playoffs will be determined by the league standings. Teams that advance during the playoffs will be determined by matchup results and when necessary Yahoo! Sports tiebreakers.

The League Commissioner has the following options for forcing changes to your playoff bracket or results:

  • You may use the Edit Team Points tool to change the score of a matchup, thus forcing a change to your league's standings.
  • You may use the Edit Rosters tool to edit lineups or rosters for any team in your league for any completed week of the season.

By changing scores or lineups from previous weeks, you can force changes to the league standings that would result in changes to the playoff seeds.

Similarly, you can edit scores or lineups from any completed playoff week to force changes to playoff matchup results.

Additional Information

If a commissioner would like for their playoff bracket to reseed after the first round to account for upsets, check out the Playoff Reseeding article.
